Counseling for Postpartum Depression
& Anxiety
Congratulations! You just brought a baby home and are experiencing the mommy bliss that everyone talks about. Wrong! Are you feeling out of control, down in the dumps, lacking a bond with your baby, or experiencing spells of crying for no reason? It’s normal to have feelings like these everyone once in a while, but if you have feelings like these for 2 or more weeks, you may be experiencing postpartum depression. Our counselors in Coppell, Plano, and the surrounding areas, are here to help.
If you’re not experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression, but are feeling like your mind is racing, you need to clean everything, you are constantly worried about your baby’s safety, you may be experiencing postpartum anxiety.
This is nothing to feel ashamed about. It can happen to anyone. Don’t walk through it alone. In order to take care of your new baby, it is important to make sure mamma is healthy. Doctors are well aware that this happens to new moms which is why they will ask in your checkup appointments how you’ve been doing. They are trying to see if you are showing signs of perinatal mental illness.
