At New Heights Counseling, we love helping adolescents who have special needs and their families. The special needs populations we work with range from behavioral (ADHD, ODD, Bi-polar, etc.) to physical (muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, etc.) to developmental (down syndrome, autism, dyslexia, etc.).
Our experienced counselors know that dealing with a disability or a behavioral disorder can be difficult for the teen and the family. That’s where we come in.
How we Help
We want to help your teen become confident. We want to help them learn effective ways to manage behaviors and emotions so they can live a comfortable and happy life. We do this by implementing Cognitive Behavior Therapy into our sessions. CBT is a proven method to help teens change their thinking to change their behavior and emotions.
For families, we know that living with a teenager who has any of the needs listed above can be emotionally taxing and you may feel you have nobody to talk to. We are here to help.
