Have you been feeling stuck? Whether it be anxiety, depression, negative relationship patterns, or unresolved trauma, Twyla helps people get unstuck.

Twyla works with adults and teens who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression as well as those who have experienced abuse, trauma, or unhealthy relationships. She also has experience working with clients in crisis and those with eating disorders. She helps clients who are unhappy with where they are currently to get to a place of healing and wholeness. She works collaboratively with her clients to determine their goals and address root issues. She then customizes her approach to ensure that the client’s priorities and goals are central to treatment.

Twyla was born and raised overseas and has lived in the United States for ten years. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a BA in Psychology and is currently finishing up her MA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands.

Before becoming a therapist, Twyla worked as a middle school ministry associate director and as a consultant for a career consulting firm. She has been married for over six years and has one beautiful daughter.

As someone well-acquainted with anxiety, depression, and trauma, Twyla understands the unbelievable weight that it can be to try to go through life carrying these things alone. Her goal is to help her clients get out from under that weight so that they can stop just surviving and start living the meaningful and joy-filled life that is available to them.

Twyla wants to help you, no matter where you are starting from, to get to where you want to go. If you feel hopeless, in over your head, or just tired of bumping up against the same issues over and over again, give us a call and book with Twyla today.

Specialties include: young adults, teens, anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis counseling, eating disorders, religious trauma, couples counseling (pre-marital & marriage), and career decisions/stressors.
